Extract of the SF Statutes
Name The Shahneshin Foundation (SF) as a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) exists according to both the Swiss Civil Code Article 60, and the United Nations Article 71.
Mission The SF wants to; (a) Further and facilitate the exchange of information, experience and ideas within the discipline of art and design, stimulating discussion and encouraging co-operation between the known and unknown players through, amongst other means, the promotion of regular international meetings, in particular an annual conference; (b) Foster and develop the Future Thinking Education (FTE), amongst other things, providing advice and acting as a forum for sharing experience, and supporting collaborative developments on the related issues; (c) Promote fruitful interaction between design-practitioners, academics and researchers within the discipline of art and design, thereby furthering the development of a Swiss-wide toward World-wide community, through, amongst other things, the development of common research agendas and the establishment of collaborative research projects; and exchange of ideas among members on the basis of friendly relationships an mutual personal respect; (d) Encourage the adoption of the Future Thinking and the Future Thinking Education; (e) Represent the interests of scholarship in art and design, encouraging interdisciplinary awareness and enhancing the overall standing and the public understanding of the disciplines within the Future Thinking Education (FTE); (f) Stimulate dialogue with bodies, institutions, organisations as well as with individuals with interests in art and design and with other international organisations furthering art and design culture and beyond; (g) Encourage and instigate other activities consistent with the SF statutes.
Location Headquarter of the SF is Zurich.
Conditions of Admittance Everyone and or any individual engaged or who has a special sympathy with interests in art, design and in the Future Thinking --fine arts, decision-maker, specialist engaged in the education, architects, archaeologists, ethnologists, graphics, historians, town-planners, and as appropriate, as well as any individuals interested in supporting the mission and objectives of the SF, may be admitted as [active] members.
